So here's M92. This is a stack of 20 exposures that are 2.5 minutes long for a total duration of 45 minutes. Imaged with C9.25 at f/10 with a modified Canon 350D. Reprocessed with Pixinsight.

Click on thumbnail below for the large version.

See if you can spot any faint fuzzies in this one.

The old version of this image is here.

Ajay

You know, last winter after 6 months of overcast, I would've seriously considered something like that...

Funny you should mention View master, I pulled my old Bakelite 1950's view master out the other day and slipped in the "Future world" slide from the 62 worlds fair just to get a chuckle as to how far we haven't come!

Hey Stacy, nice find on the bino!

October is a wash (pun intended) I've been all setup to work on the Beginner DSO target for Novembers contest. not even a sucker hole. I check the weather all accross the state "rain". OK I think the fires are out now. Thinking about a drive to Table Mountain just to look around, but the Snow level has been down pretty low so the roads (if open) might be impassable for my vehicle selection.

The roads (including Reeser Creek) are closed at the junctions near the actual fire footprint. Danger from damaged trees falling etc. Probably be next year before we get a good look. Without breaking the law anyway...

I have some bad news -- I have some new Deloi and Powermates due to arrive in a couple days. So expect clouds for awhile.

Not to mention Ajay's new scope also...

...add to that, a new EP. Always a recipe for rain/clouds.

I have a request in to King5 for a recon mission. Who knows? Maybe they will bite. They have used my news tips for stories three times before. Other than that, maybe SteveG could do a flyby. I'm three minutes from the Snohomish airstrip so I'd be happy to ride shotgun and snap some pics.

The vodoo from my telescope purchase has worn off. Now everybody else please stop buying equipment, so I can get some clear skies over Hazy Hollow.

Does anyone know why they locate large telescopes in Arizona?

Ajay
