Secondary dew heater issue
      #5185756 - 04/23/12 02:17 AM

I have an obsession with a secondary dew heater. The dew heater has the air temp sensor and a led light. I used it for the first time today, but when i went outside the secondary had dew on it. After putting my hand over the sensor. the light came on for a minute and as I repeated this the dew disappeared.
Is this thing working right? My hand over the sensor would heat the sensor to activate the heater. Shouldnt it be the other way around?
So every 5-10 minutes i have to put my hand over the sensor to activate it in order to remain dew free. I think its a kendrick but im not sure.

I believe you have an Astrosystems heater. It sounds like you need to turn it up a bit. To do so you need to remove the secondary from its' holder. The adjustment is on the heater circuit board on the back of the secondary. I'm guessing Astrosystems has instructions on their site.
