I just found out in the Ice-In-Space website that Alex Massey ('maroubra boy' on CN) won both categories in the Scott Mellish Astro Sketching competition in Australia. Having seen his sketches, I'm not surprised.

Well deserved Alex!

I didn't have time this morning, but here are links to some of his recent sketches on CN:

Eta Carina Complex
Omega Centauri (NGC 5139)
Wide field from Eta Carina to NGC 3532

I have observed all of the above and the sketches are just like what I see in the eyepiece.
