Nice shot, Thomas! I'm really starting to get the Mars bug after seeing the polar cap last Sunday morning. Can't wait to see your pics when it gets closer and full!

Tom,

Thanks. Mars is starting to get interesting now. Still
an early morning object, but it is placed very well in the
sky from about 3AM on. I've just gotten up early on a few
occassions to view and image it. I'm expecting that if the
dust storms hold off, this will be a much better opposition
than 2003, even though it is smaller in size. The high
position in the sky more than makes up for the smaller
apparent size.
