Greetings--
Been taking a few solar pics with my Questar in preparation for the upcoming Venus transit. I've attached one from yesterday; there's a full-size version on Flickr:

Thanks for looking,

That is an amazing shot! Wow! I hope to get the Q Solar Observatory sometime next year. I've got a bit saving up to do first.

Thank you - very nice setup... I am thinking of a similar setup with my Q - I have been looking at the Lunt solar equipment,

The item with the large gold band is the Coronado hydrogen alpha filter.

I've owned a PST but not a Lunt. What items do you need after the Coronado Ha filter?

I knew that, I was talking about the thing in front of that. If that is the adjustable tuner, I thought it went between the filter and the scope. Or do you have something else on the tuner.

My apologies - the unit was shipped that way; the black ring rotates and adjusts or "tunes" the filter.

Thanks.
The movie covers about 20 min, one frame per minute of real-time (displayed at ~10 fps).
