For those that read German - a new Rükl
      #5239315 - 05/25/12 04:33 PM

There will be one more (final?) edition of Rükl's "Mondatlas" (German version) if enough people pre-order it. Details here:

I like this atlas so much I just have to say --

Who cares if the thing is in German?

I have the English version of this atlas and I have found it to be equal to the best I've seen. I also like the following:

Lunar Orbiter Photographic Atlas of the Near Side of the Moon
By Charles J. Byrne
ISBN 1-85233-886-5

These are high resolution photos from the Lunar Orbiter Mission 4. The book excels at showing what things look like that I've searched for.

The book which is the topic of this thread is
Atlas of the Moon
by Antonin Rukl
ISBN: 1-931559-07-4

This book is easier to use and also is great for finding things. I wouldn't even consider purchasing a German version of the book unless I could read the language. The book is pack with information and I simply wouldn't want to be frustrated by not understanding what I was looking at.

I purchased this book used and it was in near perfect condition. I don't remember having any trouble finding either of the books.

No trouble finding the books? I guess you got your Rukl before the frenzy started. If anyone can find an old Rukl for $100, it will be a miracle.

If you enjoy the drawings in Rukl, the German text won't bother you that much. I do note that there is no mention as to whether they will ship to the US.
