GO SS 22x85 for sale? new
      #5242118 - 05/27/12 12:16 PM

So I have been going through a small checklist to see what is used the most often. I have found that the last time the 22x85 has seen any use was back last winter (December 2010 actually).

I was thinking of selling this for lack of use. I don't even consider it when going out ever since I got the GBT100s.

Then the realization came that they don't sell this anymore and wondered if it would be worth losing it. There is always the possibility of regretting it and never seeing one again.

So my question to you, should I sell or hang onto to it?

Sell, or donate to a school astronomy class (as I did).

I think that's your answer. My 22X85s are my most-used, and I'd find the extra weight and mounting requirements of the GBT100 to be a bit daunting....but if you always reach past them for the GBT, might as well find them a home.

I bet they'll sell quickly, too. They hit a very sweet spot in terms of aperture, magnification, and weight. A classic.

Jim

rich,

I imagine that the money from the sale of the 22x85 could be put to good use for some very nice eyepieces for your BT100.

Well they are fine binos but if you don't use them and allways reach for the BT100...well....

I would never sell mine but i haven't got a BT100
