Something strange has happened to my cgem mount. It seems to have forgotten about Saturn. I have the scope in an observatory and I hibernate it after each session and then wake it up for the next session.I have been imaging Saturn and when i went to select Saturn from the planet list it would not appear on tnhe list of visible planets.I picked MArs and the scope slwed to Mars ans then I had to manually move the scope using the arrow keys to Saturn to image.Does anyone know what happened and how to get my mount tpo remember thats Saturn is in the sky?

You may have turned on the East/West filtering without knowing it. Look to the upper RH corner of the display and while scrolling through the planet list see if there is an 'E' or 'W' displayed. If so you have activated the East/West filtering. It limits the lists to one side of the mount...either East or West. To turn off/on the E/W filtering press the 'Menu' button.

Carl,

If Saturn doesn't show up at all (after following what Stan suggested to check out) and you are sure it's above the horizon's of your current sky then you either have a data problem or filter limits that are set wrong.

If however the mount points to the other planets that are currently visible correctly then it's not a data problem. In this case the mount doesn't think Saturn is visible and above your horizons. This is where the Filter Limits function comes in. If the List Alt Min setting is above 0 then the mount is not going to show you objects listed below that number of degrees above your horizon. Setting it back to 0 should then restore Saturn to the lists ... or wait a little while until Saturn rises above the minimum setting.

Finally had a clear night last night and Stan was right-I had turned on east/west/ filtering.
