Orion XT10i setting circles
      #5254571 - 06/04/12 11:37 AM

I have an Orion XT10i which I will be using on a TLSystems Equatorial Platform. After I set the scope on the mount and align it with Polaris (or do the regular 2-star alignment) will I be able to use the digital setting circles (displayed on control unit) to "go-to"? Will this require realignment (Pole or two-star) after each use (i.e want to view a different object)? Will it require realignment after the platform reaches it's maximum arc and must be "reset". Is there an option on the intelliscope control to "set" the Alt/Az at 0/0 or 90/90, or 0/90? Or should I not even use the digital setting circles when using the platform and install manual setting circles on the base and axis? If manual circles, what would be the diameter of the base circle and the axis circle? Is there a website or program where I can prepare the circles and take them to Kinko's/Staples for copying/laminating?
