Here is the Travel Dob on our Low profile Equatorial Platform.
One hour tracking, very accurate, no vibration and slippage: the driving is done by a tangent rod, with an optimised microstep motor and very robust connections:

Dear Pierre,
Very nice scope and a very pretty backyard!
I have a few questions...what is the power source for your equatorial drive? And what type of diffraction spikes are produced by the spider that you produce?
Thank you, Mark

The backyard needs a little cut... Spring has been very rainy here and grass has grown quickly...
The power source for the equatorial drive is a simple 12 V battery. Consumption is less than 1A:

As for the spikes, they are usual, that is the 4 ones (as far as the branches of the spider are parallel, we get 4 spikes).

Intriguing. I presume these telescopes are not available for customers in the U.S., right?

Well, I like the natural look
To add to Gene's question, if you have US customers who already have a mirror and other components such as a focuser, is it possible for you to make a scope without having to ship the components to you? I would prefer not to have to send my mirror across the Atlantic!

These instruments can be shipped worldwide, including the US, obviously.
Mark, you are right, it is possible to make the mount without the mirrors and focuser. The only thing we need it the exact focal lentgh and the weight of the mirrors.
The same if people prefer to order new mirrors from an american optician.

Can you give us a sense of the prices for telescopes without optics in 10 and 12 inch sizes? I really like the clean design of these.
