The depth of focus: this one related to the design of ocular? I have verified that with the Nikon 10x70 6,5 º it is not necessary to do corrections of focus for objects placed to different distances (big intervals) ,it seems that the eyes do certain work to focus,As well as the eye focuses naturally.
On the other hand the Tasco 10x50 (Chinese and cheap) (Of car box) is necessary to refocus permanently every intervals of 10m of depth of focus.
