On May 26 Alex (maroubra boy) posted his June sketching challenge: Wide field, and included a couple of his awesome sketches. Well, I didn't forget and had a couple of decent evenings to observe and sketch. It's not bad for my first real attempt at wide field deep sky. My sketch is actually 2 in 1 - a binocular view and a RFT view, both from my back yard in Miami, observed over the roof of my house in heavy LP.

I really enjoyed doing these sketches and hope to do several more, perhaps of more interesting targets. I'm also going to try different things since I'm just starting with DSO sketching. Thanks for looking and I hope you like them.

Ed,
These are very good captures of Omega Centauri. I have seen the southern USA view of this fine target and it truly is big and bright.
