Bob, Guess I misread your post. Yes, that is a nice build of a scope, and your stand compliments it very nicely indeed. All is well that works well!

Drove 1,000 miles round trip to Cheyenne to pick this up. It's a beast, with a 3 1/2" thick LOMO Sitall f/5 primary (cored to reduce weight a bit)... I was concerned whether I could wheel it in/out of the trailer, but by golly, it's a one man operation, including complete setup. Still waiting for first light.

Thanks. 'first light' from my mag 3 suburban driveway (was more to try out the Argo Navis, which worked pretty well)... didn't look at much due to surrounding trees, but I did get a look at an M56... which incredibly, even with shroud off... looked more like M13 in my 18" from darker skies. So far so good, although nearly had a mishap with the UTA ring, which lost a couple of truss clamps while I was bringing it down to remove the UTA. I guess they need to be tightened a bit more than what I'm used to with the 18".

My humble 4.5" F7.8 newt - my first scope - recently bought again.

How interesting... not my first scope, but my father's, which I found collecting dust in the basement as a teen, began using. I would love to get my hands on a nice Tasco like that again (although it also provided the near disastrous gelatin solar filter story).

Okay Pete... that either looks like a porta-potti or a foot massager on the ground next to your scope. Either one of which could come in handy on long nights at the eyepiece I imagine.

Nice scopes!

I believe that is an Astrobath mirror cooler unit...or an electric cat litter box.
