The OTAs were machined and assembled in Europe and are now in the US with some 35 other scopes (Mike Harden in Florida). The special R30 Anastigmatic doublets are nearly finished, due to be completed by the end of June. We will be able to ship by the first week of July. They reach the theoretical limit for 127mm and 150mm clear aperture lenses, greatly suppress chromatic aberration and have substantially smaller spot sizes when compared to common achromatic doublets. All of these doublets have been optimized to work with our upcoming Raycorr. After getting the Raycorr your Asteria or Ares telescope will perform like a visual APO and APS sized imaging system. The transparent opal gel red powder coating is simply irrestible and matches the special black body coating perfectly. Would you like to see the new models in white? If we get enough people interested, we will ad the white OTAs at around 60 dollar more.
