I am looking to enter the higher quality eyepiece market for my 6SE. Currently have some plossls and a Hyperion 13. I want to keep the Hyperion for now and fill in the other areas with some high quality glass. Due to marketing, I am leaning towards the Televue lines, but open to whatever will yield the best pinpoint stars and flat field.
Scope specs: 1500mm focal length, 150mm aperture. 1.25" diagonal.
Suggestions on the "best/better" choices for my scope in the 15-20mm and 6-10mm ranges? Price limit, $400 per eyepiece.

There are many wonderful eyepieces out there, but two of the most overlooked (they don't advertise them. Pretty much all word of mouth) are the Denkmeier D14 and D21. All I suggest is that you research them and read the reviews before making a final choice. I believe they're as fine as any eyepieces made. Also, no matter which premium eyepieces you decide on, you'll also have to upgrade your stock diagonal.

Hi mitaccio:
Due to the long focal length of your scope, it is very forgiving of eyepiece design. That means you will get very high quality results from modestly priced eyepieces like your Hyperion. You should still see an improvement when moving to higher quality units like the Televues, and they are certainly a good investment for the future. If you use a faster scope, like a dob, the Televues will shine.
In general, it seems that most people consider Televues to be the "end game". When you're looking for the best, you can't go wrong with them. Their new Delos line seems to be getting rave reviews and are more reasonably priced than the Ethos.

I'm a TeleVue guy. As mentioned above your scope is not a "fast" scope and will work with any decent EP but if you are like most of us you will end up with more scopes eventually. In addition TV EP's resell very well compared to many others. You might consider used EP's. Most people take good care of their EP's and if you decide to sell an EP you will lose very little and possibly even make a few dollars. All IMO;Don T.

I run Pentax XW's for high power and Panoptics for low power... I honestly can not get comfortable looking thru ultra wide angle eyepieces (my old eyeballs have to shift around too much) so limit myself to using 68 to 70 degree FOV eyepieces..
I have never found an better high powered eyepieces then the Pentax XW's..and that includes the new Delos line of eyepieces .. That said the 19 mm Delos seems to me to be a tad better then my 20 mm Pentax as it has a little less field curvature but not enough top make me sell the Pentax ..
Whatever you do I sure would not recommend sticking to one brand only ..cherry pick the best eyepiece individually ..

Find someone who's got the Ethos virus and isn't using their Naglers much anymore. Get a 13mm T6 for a good price and don't look back. The 13mm T6 is a great eyepiece with the C6, IMHO it makes for just about the perfect combination. It's an exceptionally versatile eyepiece, with it's large fov (.7° in the C6) it will cover most DSOs (except for very large extended objects). At 117x it has enough magnification to handle even very small DSOs (planetary nebulae for example). It's also a very effective lunar/planetary eyepiece.
The 13mm T6 is also a nice compact eyepiece that with a good 1.25" diagonal doesn't overwhelm the C6 size or weight wise. I find that it simply stays in my C6 most of the time.

Look on Astromart. That is where I purchased mine. Shipping will be a little higher for you.
