I hope they perform as good as they look! For the price, they do seem like a steal, considering the Celestron equivalent is priced at $209. DID you get the screw on nosepiece? they are on par with Celestron or Orion, inexpensive and surprisingly good. They have a nice weight to them. I just tested them on the Sun/terrestrial and they work fantastically! Here's my new GnG sporting them for some Solar viewing.. Well I'd get another 28mm RKE but that 16mm Brandon you have is a barlowed binoviewer planetary powerhouse imho, every bit as good as my ZAO-II and maybe a tiny bit less scatter. I'd be on the lookout for one of those. If you don't have the flattop version try using it with the rubber eyeguard unscrewed completely from the top, that's how I binoviewed with mine. I too was thinking about a 16mm Brandon as a nice in-between for the couple pairs I already own. At the moment I just have these Celestron Taiwan Plossls. I purchased the extra ones knowing that I would own a binoviewer sooner or later. They're neat because you can unscrew the barrels and interchange them from 1.25" to .965 (note the 7.5mm EPs) -James EDIT: After having an evening to view with the binos, I've come to realize that I cannot achieve focus without the barlow, therefore the 7.5mm eyepieces are pretty much rendered useless in my scopes. As such, I think I'll pick up a 16mm Brandon, two 25mm UO Orthos, and perhaps two 12.5 Orthos as well. I'm having a blast either way!!
