Fixed - but that doesn't help things much. Met Ron in person yesterday; I recognised him more from the motorcycle he was riding than from his avatar pic.

Maybe because he was wearing a helmet, and not a cowboy hat...

All Joe had to ID himself with was a cup of joe. Not helpful at a coffee place.

Not helpful at all. To top it off he approaches me while I'm still on the bike to talk bike and point out I may be blocking him. With my new bike I get that a lot. So again, not helpful.

We NEED ID's.

Does anyone know if we'll have web access at the event? I'll assume we're not planning on printing up thousands of the generic CN badges, so we should hand them out to CNers only; if I can access CN, I can check for membership - or sign up new members...

I plan on showing up. I'll also have the 18" at the Saturday and Sunday night star parties at TIMPA. Fifteen minutes from home to TIMPA, 2 hours to CAC. Math works out for TIMPA for me.

And that RBOE guy is taller than his avatar. The hat will be visible above us normal sized folk.

Not entirely sure at this point. If there's room, we're hoping to have them available at the CN booth.

I'll post here as soon as we figure stuff out.

Make sure you talk with the guy in the cowboy hat, regardless - he's pretty cool.

And, yes - he's WAY taller than his avatar...

I would also like a name badge please.

Will there still be mirror lab and observatory tours? If so what will the schedules and costs be? I can't find anything on the web site.

My wife and I plan to drive down Saturday morning and stay until Sunday afternoon.

Just as an FYI for those not aware --

Joe Cipriano is a former moderator, and Ron/rboe is a former administrator. So they basically have authority (and do have permission) to run with the name badge thing.

Just in case anyone was wondering.
