So much so that I have two now (although my income probably doesn't warrant it). But, they were a lifelong dream...twice (one is a standard model with power chord). I wanted the upgraded optics, power guide, declination motor, and the uniqueness of the Q50. I'm just curious about the little "nifties" that were advertised. Maybe it's an advertising error vice Q error. Well, the clouds and rain have rolled back in and the forecast is not too bright for the week. Hopefully by Memorial Day things will clear up. I've got a new Basler ac640-100gc camera I'd like to try out. I've got a feeling there might be a bit of a learning curve. I tried a using a Mallincam with the other scope and it worked great on the moon. Unfortunately, the software does not always work with my computer...something about the i3 core processor. I'm not that technical, so it's doubly difficult. I just like things to work easily. That's why I went with the Questar. About as easy as it gets. High humidity. Even at very low powers things are jumping around. The good news is that I could pack up the whole can of worms in about two minutes. It's the simple things... Fits in the palm of your hand. There's a lot of settings you can use with this thing and I'm at the 1st grade level right now...a long way to go. Putting the photos in Registax helps. Although my photos are not stacked, just single snaps. Then I use gamma and some sharpening. It does help. I haven't figured out how to get it to take .avi yet. So, I'm snapping away trying to get a few sharp images. Last night the atmosphere was horrid. But, I got a few in anyway. I'll post somemore.
