Reportage with 160 photos. Fuji 150 and more new
      #5294322 - 06/29/12 02:42 AM Attachment (123 downloads)

Hello guys! This past weekend, I organized a small meeting in Valtellina (northern Italy) to observe with the Fujinon 25x150 of Carlo Rossi. As usual, there were a lots of others binoculars, for example: the new 8x32 Swarovision that is incredible, the Nobilem 8x56 that it's a real twilight monster, the Pentax 7x50 PIF that I liked so much, and obviously the Fujinon 150mm, which surprised us. The milky way, under a crystal sky in high mountains, is really , really amazing!
I conclude by saying that the vision of the Swan, by the Sard 6x42 .. it was amazing too. I posted 160 pictures ... here: http://www.binomania.it/gallery/incontro_giugno_2012/
Have a nice week end and Best Regards from Italy!
Piergiovanni

Hello,
Thanks for the photos ... of what I liked most is the "Super Chair" 1950 model .. used with the Fujinon binos .., past and present together in the observation of the cosmos ....
Grazie,
cieli sereni

Dear friends, we would like to have the CN friends here in Italy . When I will organize a new binoparty, I could tell you on time. In this way, someone could plan a holiday in Italy with his family and a weekend between Alpes and binoculars. From Malpensa airport and Valtellina there are only 2 hours by car..

Piergiovanni, very nice images of your meeting!
Would like to know your comments regarding the 25x150Mt, how was the image of axis, (which I found better on the 25x150 ED's that I briefly had the time to test), and if possible, some comments comparing them with your Docter 40x80ED in which I'm very interested too.
Also, any comments on the 8x32 Swarovision are greatly appreciated, I've been wondering about them since I've been considering a smaller size than my current 10x42EL's for daytime birding and hiking.

Ciao Piergiovanni,
thanks so much for posting the wonderful photos from Italy.
I wish there was a Binocular event like the one in Italy, here in the States.
regards, Phil

Hi guys, thanks for the attention. I try to respond in my poor english.
1) The images of the 25x150, at the center of the field, was very pinpoint.. These binoculars, truly, was controlled and collimated by Luca Mazzoleni.
2) I prefer the Docter Aspectem in the daytime use. My binoculars has an high contrast, an excellent color rendering, it's light, and it has a wide field of view (84°)
3) In very dark skies, the difference between the Fuji and the Docter was very evident. Under polluted skies, the higher magnification of the Docter, in part, riduce the gap.
You know better than me, like playing with magnification and exit pupil. so I have nothing to teach you :-)
4) I'm writing the review of Swarovision 8x32. I hope you read it, unfortunately, through google translate:-(
5) I like to organize an event with you. Corrado has hosted us from Friday evening to Sunday (full board) at only $ 100!!! We have ate:pizzoccheri, tagliatelle, costine and more..G-Astronomy:-)
If you found a good deal for the airplane, I think we would come and pick you up at possibile. Some of binomania guys could come to pick you up at airport.
We will discuss together for the next event. I'ld like to organize the next, in October or September.
Pier

Hi Andres,
I already have bought the 501HDV head and it works nice, now I only need a very good tripod.
Just to mention the Docter 40x80ED is much better them the fuji 25x150 ED at daytime, at night as I did not use the fujis in dark skys, I would say the view of the stars are almost the same, though the estars in the Docters are pin point not only in the center.
Regards

Toni

Pier,

What a great get together at an amazing place!! I agree with your review - the 8x32 Swarovision is truly a masterpiece. I've honestly never looked through anything quite like it. I'm sold on Swarovision !

Great idea Piergiovanni, Italy also has some nice observatories ( Asiago, Arcetri, Gran Sasso, Merate, etc... )
