Four days on the trot......

Canon 1000D + SW 80ED Pro ,
50 frames , 1/1000s @ ISO 200 , Reg5.

Have an ISS transit in my backyard at 16:47 today so hope to catch that weather permitting !

Will be using 1000D and EOS MovieRec as cannot get high enough frame rate with 1000D as is , first attempt at this so should be fun.......

Try jpeg + burst mode, I think is good enough to get enough details on ISS and Sun. Make some tests before.

This is a very nice "white light" dslr image of Sol here Steve - such nicely defined sunspot umbras & penumbras..!

Great shot there!

I had an ISS yesterday, the sun was gettin kinda low and just captured it with the webcam at 20fps. ISS was a bit small though.

I have an opportunity next Sunday for a better transit pass and may give it a shot, not sure if I should go with webcam or DSLR though.

Just thinking about taking the scope out to get a shot of the sun now . I can get a little practice for Sunday and also do a comparison with RAW vs. jpeg in burst mode.
