I agree - it should be well placed for most folks in August.

Hi All,
I'm here to confess - I screwed up at May's polls and asked for targets for August when I should have asked for targets for July. This happened when I took over the polls for Luke, who had to leave temporarily (I hope) for personal reasons. I messed up the same way in both the beginning and intermediate DSO polls.
NGC 6823 may or may not be the subject for the July Intermediate DSO Challenge. Vladimir gets to make the call as to this as soon as he can. Since we need to make a choice on this pretty quickly, I'd ask Vladimir to make his decision between now and the 8th of July, so that folks have plenty of time to get on target under dark sky. New Moon is on the 19th. I hope to see a lot of entries this month!
Again, I'm very sorry for any confusion this may have caused you.

That works for me, Vladimir! NGC6823 is the subject of July's Intermediate DSO Challenge. I'll leave these threads up for everyone's reference until the submissions polls go up somewhere near mid-month.
