My question is what is the difference between a Losmandy G11 mount and a Losmandy G11 Gemini mount? If you could provide a picture to show the difference between the two, it would be very helpful. Does Losmandy G11 have encoders? Thank you. The G11 gemini (or gemini II) has a goto system called Gemini. The visual difference is different motors and larger electronics box for the gemini. Also the gemini II has a graphic control box where the standard G11 just ha sa 4 button control box. The mount that I have just says "G11", no mention of GEMINI or GEMINI-II anywhere. I will try to post pictures of my mount later but thank you so much again for all your help. I think JMI & a couple of others still make them, Losmandy does not. Gemini had encoders built into the motors that have fairly good resolution. IIRC Gemini-2 doesn't read external high-res encoders yet but it is on the list of future features.
