Pixie accepts Milk Bones for babysitting. No customer's child has yet been kidnapped by ground squirrels when she's been on the job.

I have some good treats we give our dogs. Maybe she'll except those. They are from the fancy pet store.
Shane is easy too. If i would let him, he would eat peanutbutter and jelly every meal. Can you teach pixie to make pbnj?

With Gabby it's Milkbones or nuttin'. She won't eat the cheap ones and she won't eat the fancy ones.

Looks like you guys are in for a real treat Friday and Saturday nights. Wish I could join you.

I wish. It is going to be hard to get there before dark on Friday. I should be there before dark or at least before you guys are dark adapted. I will be there before good viewing time for sure unless there is some problem.
Is Bill coming?

Too bad you are not going to make it Tom. Can't you have your daughter move her wedding? This is clear skies around new moon, that happens just a bit more often than a Venus transit in Washington. i guess we will see you next time.

Make . . . no. Eat . . . no problem!

Hmmm, swap meet. I'm bringing my XT10i and I would cheerfully part with that if anyone wants a fully modded scope with an excellent mirror. Leave space in your truck! I'll see what else I have lying around. Pixie isn't for sale.

I expect to arrive Friday evening. I hope I can get there before dark. If not, my apologies in advance to any formerly dilated pupils.

I hope you guys hit the jackpot Thurs. nite!!!!

Shane is not for sale either. You can rent or borrow him in camp though.

So our Thursday departure date looks pretty iffy. We'll get there Friday for sure.

I won't make it this weekend. I will get away to the OSP though. Remote swap meet? Anyone have a Denkmeier 14mm or Hyperion 36mm? Anyone want a Nagler 7mm T6? Trades?

Brad

Brad, there was a time I would have been all over the 7 mm T6, but now its job has been outsourced to my Ethos 6 mm. (which is not on the block!)

Really, I'm eager to be using my XT10 for the first time since Sugaree's first dance. I couldn't fit Sugaree into the Hyundai, at least with overnight stuff & Pixie. I really like it. It's a good scope with good optics. My best view ever of Jupiter was through that, from a dark parking lot in Yellowstone. (Followed a moon, not its shadow, through the swirls about half way across the face of the planet.) Walt has cured the az. motion by modding it with a lazy Susan (a tip of the hat ).

Last minute problems kept us from leaving yesterday...heading out this morning. Plus its pouring rain here, it will be nice to be in the sun and heat of E-Wa.

TELESCOPE BUILDING 102 ON SATURDAY !

Just after the swap meet, i'll be presenting a how-to for that dob you have been thinking of building.

Plus, a non-rotating 1.25" focuser how-to.

Mike has kindly agreed to a video presentation on Applied Astrophysics as it relates to the growing rise in fuel prices & drought in the mid west.

This presentation should be a "nail biter"...

That's right, Kerry, and thanks for organizing the presentation.

Unfortunately, due to last moment unanticipated complications, instead of a video there will be a workshop, and the subject won't be whatever the heck Kerry said, but will be changed to, "Frictionless interpersonal interfaces on or about the observing field during evening Happy Hour." Attendees should be sure to endorse the attendance list, which will be found in Kerry's cooler. Help yourselves. All are invited, of course.
