Well... Sky At Night magazine had a great review in the July 2012 issue by Pete Lawrence.
And now Astronomy Magazine has selected BackyardEOS as one of their 35 new hot Star Products for 2012; see their September 2012 issue which just came out this week.
Thank you for all your support and interest.

Well... BackyardEOS is a .net application so a native Mac version is not for tomorrow. I did purchase a Mac Mini last year so I might try run it on MONO eventually and see what happens. One thing is for sure is that if I ever get down to it some features will never work on Mac, like the ASCOM compliant plug-ins; this is only for Windows

I suggest mac owners should use Parallels 8 to run BYE and save Guylain a lot of programming hours. BYE runs without a glitch on my Mac Book Pro. Guylain should allocate those hours to improve the existing software as well as to speed up the development on BackyarNIK and BackyardCCD.

If it were to be develop in a common language it could be compiled for each platform. Lots of companies do this to support both platforms.

Guylain,
Not sure what you mean, many software companies have MAC apps that use ASCOM.
I think you will find that there are a lot of MAC users who love what you have done. I think you have a great software package. I know you can run it in virtual, but, native is always better.

The ASCOM platform is only for Windows... unless I'm missing the obvious.

I will have to go back into the SB forum and ask the question. I have TheSkyX Mac Pro version and it can control many ASCOM compliant scopes natively.
Let me post there and see what they say.

At the bottom of: http://ascom-standards.org/About/Projects.htm
"Note that ASCOM is Windows-only, so these X2 to ASCOM drivers will not work with TheSky X Pro running on Mac OS X."

So then how is TheSkyX Pro for Mac running the Meade hardware? I have posted this question to the SB forums, let's see what they say.

Per Daniel Bisque:
"TheSkyX's native driver uses Meade's published Autostar/LX200 Command Set to communicate with the mount."
So, not ASCOM, but, still very doable on the Mac.
