Dick, Very interesting. You should ask your Indian friend about India's meteorite export laws. There was a real hot debate on the Met-List recently concerning the legality of selling Sulagiri meteorite specimens on the open market. The question was whether the law prohibited Indian meteorite export or that the prohibitive export law was in place under British rule and thus does not apply to independent India.
