Charging After Brazen Color

Ever had an object hit you in the face with its overwhelming features and complexity? I still remember this night over two years ago that yielded this sketch of the Lagoon. It was fast and furious...but also yielded this story as I looked back...

Story and sketch are on the blog. The address is under my signature.

Roland,

I remember this one. Close ups of the Lagoon neb. visually are not so colorful but like your sketch are awe inspiring.

Frank

Yes, the color really does blow our socks off. We did it again last night as a sketch lesson on Night Skies Network but used a Hyperstar Lens on a C8, so it was a wide field look, whereas this one was a bit closer in. Still awesome color. Astro video pays for itself with just getting to see 10 objects like this where the color depth and structure is just plain amazing.
