It looks a trifle topheavy, but Meade originally sold it with a 30 lb 10" f/4 Schmidt-Newtonian and it's probably not any worse than that. It will be a little wiggly, but it might be tolerable for visual use as long as it's balanced. Try this: while maintaining a good grasp, tip it on the tripod and if you can move it a foot sidewise without it wanting to fall over, it will probably OK as long as the wind isn't blowing too hard. I doubt that it would be steady enough for high power astro-photography.
Good Luck,
Pete

Visual should be fine but maybe a bit shaky... don't expect an easy road if you want to do astrophotography though.

For visual it might be OK - as long as there is no breeze. That's a lot of mass up there - and it looks like the CW's are maxed out on the shaft extension.
I might suggest doing a side by each setup. This would lower the centre of gravity and less CW required. Less wind resistance would also be a benefit. Just a thought.

Peter Its balanced there in the photo, thanks for the tips
gillmj24 not really going the astrophotograph way, just visual.
Cliff If i got another mount it would be a Atlas or equivalet and i would get rid of the LXD75, the Tripod is a Super Meade Tripod with larger dia. legs than the original 1.5" legs.
Nebhumter Yup its a extension on there and its maxed out you might be right i might have to try out the side by side something like this

do note that the side-by-side (ADM sells one too - http://admaccessories.com/V_Series_SBS.htm) weighs a good bit too (5lb or so? the Losmandy side-by-side is 7lb).
