Have been playing with my new Swift Audubon 8.5x44 ED binos. Snow at night, but alittle sun yesterday. Compared them (bush branches against snow in sun, tree bark, crows, mallards)with my non-ED pair, and my zeiss 7x42. Impressions: ED pair: FOV, sharp field size, eye relief same as non-ED version (about which i and others have posted before). On above targets, including a crow against a bright blue sky or snow, no color fringing at all. On the ED version, the center sharpness appears equal to the Zeiss pair (non-ED version, almost but not just quite...) jay
