Here's another astronomically-themed painting of mine titled Star Party. Again 24x36", oil on canvas.
This one is less about the subject and more about suggestive shapes, and the action of painting itself.

Lots of motion. Simulates the ryhthm of activity observed in star party photo time-exposures.
Man, Sean, if the magazine thing doesn't work out...

Thanks Joseph. I dream of this being my main job. Putting out feelers to some galleries in the Boston area...

Anyone seen Sean around? Hope the reason he's been gone is because he's buried deep in the creation of new work.

Yes, I'm still around. Haven't posted much because I had to prepare some paintings for showings (on top of my day job).
Here's a new one I'm working on (still needs work) tenatively titled Breezy Hill Sundown:

Not too much more work, I hope. 'like the action in it now
Glad you're back, Sean. And glad you've been working on your art.

I have 8 paintings hanging at the Firefly Bistro in Manchester, New Hampshire:

additionally, I have 6 pieces in a group showing at the Workbar office in Boston arranged through ArtVenue (artvenue.com) though unfortunately, this is a private office, not a public space.
Here's my artist statement and a group works for sale:

"We Study the Stars" should be hanging in the S&T offices. Love that.
"The Dance of Transition" and "Study for Spring Menagerie" (not to mention "Breezy Hill Sundown")... Nice, nice, nice.
