Alternatives to a Manfrotto 405 Gear Head

I have used and liked the 405 gear head for a number of years as a grab and go mount for my TEC APO110FL. That ended when FedEx destroyed it a couple of weeks ago.
(My moving company used FedEx to rapidly ship some items. FedEx also badly damaged the case for the TEC110 but the scope recovered. I called Yuri got the new soft case from TEC and think it is a great choice for a scope only case).
I want a light weight and steady head with good slow motion control that fits on a medium sized tripod. For more serious alt/azi observing I have a DM6 that goes on an AP wood tripod and a Mach 1 for serious observing.
Suggestions?
