I was able to grab two sketches of NGC7635 the other night. One at 75x and the other at 225x with my 16" f/4.5 reflector on a non-driven Dobsonian mount and a Baader Hyperion zoom with an O-III filter. Hopefully the inverted ones will still look ok. Sometimes the contrast on my monitor makes it difficult to tell if others can see it like I do with my screen. I also noticed that I didn't do a good job with the 8th mag star in the middle of the nebula. It should have been bigger. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the star placements for a change.
Sketches created with AL template, #2 graphite pencil, loaded blending stump with charcoal, super-fine Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen “S”, 0.5mm mechanical pencil. I then inverted them to show what they looked like through the eyepiece with the black background.

Erika,
Very well recorded. I have not sketched N 7635 or looked at it recently from dark skies but that is about how I remember the filtered view in a similar sized Newtonian. I would guess your Texas location skies are pretty good on transparent moonless nights.

Nice sketch. I have never observed this one. I'll have to try it. Thanks for posting.
I like that you included 2 magnifications.

These DSO were certainly hard to sketch. Placing the stars and their magnitude while observing asks for great observation skills.
You have all my admiration for that. Very nicely done.
