Due to high temps the last two years, when I looked in the cover of my CGE I noticed the grease was gone. What is the recommended grease to replace it with?

Superlube is probably the most popular choice.

Ditto from me - but do check more often than 2 years with that kind of heat. I usually do a touch up before the summer heat. Add a few dabs to the worm as it's slewing around. Don't need a lot of lube as it goes a long way.

lol

"A long way" is an understatement!

I think I used 0.25 ounces of the 3 ounce tube relubing my mount. :-)

Question, is there a specific Superlube to get? I haven't found a local distributor, not even Ace or O'Reilly. I was looking at Amazon but it looks like there are about three different types and not sure which is best.

Any good light grease will do the job, a local auto store should have a synthetic or semi synthetic car grease suitable for wheel bearing use in stock,DA.

You want SuperLube Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease. It comes in a tube. The 3 oz. tube will last you forever.
