Hi everyone,

Finally! I had some time on August 26th to observe our moon. The crater Copernicus offered un nice view under good seeing conditions.

Here is the sketch I made of one of my favorite crater. This time I decided to use my Nikon Coolpix to take a picture instead of using my scanner (a piece of junk). Processing in PS only to erase smears and add a title and some info. I am still not sure if I like the effect of the paper texture, though.

I don't. Some sketchers can manipulate the texture (I can't). But still a beautiful sketch!

I agree with Jef that some people can really make textured paper 'sing'.
Lovely sketch though Jean.

Jean,

The Copernicus crater sketch is wonderful and you handle that textured paper better than I do. The best use I can see for it (textured paper) would be to use a poster size sheet and lay the chalk on thick.
