Not a bad idea to use graph paper to position features correctly. I did a lot of this in my early sketching until I was comfortable not using a grid.

Great work.
Sketching the whole disk is certainly not an easy task. When I try that I nearly always end up with lack of space to draw the final craters or features and have to erase and try again. Never thought of using graph paper.

The graph-rule is a page in a current journal- I was binding my own notebooks with mixes of paper and found that I liked to take notes on graph. As for the graphed drawing, it was small (less than 7cm diameter), proportion is easier when smaller. The larger one was on charcoal paper and I'm happier with it. (I changed the size of last nights drawing.jpg, so it would be visible.)
