My difficulty is that I am too inexperienced to identify the hardware needed to mount a finder onto the existing mount point on this scope. If one looks just below the Orion scope there is what appears to be a mount point for a bracket. If someone could point me in the right direction for mounting a finder scope to this point I would be deeply grateful. Unfortunately I cannot find any other manufacturer’s finder bracket that fits the MK67. You re correct, I believe that that is where you would mount the guide scope. Or use one of the non-magnifying finders that have a adhesive base that just sticks to the OTA. I'll measure the width between the screws when I get to my destination on Monday. Also,as there are rings that I have my plate mounted to, there may be a solution there. There is a top plate spanning the rings, but I haven't yet sussed out the spacing of two holes that have been drilled and tapped into it. I agree that may be the way I'll have to approach this short of having a machine shop manufacture something. I'm resisting an adhesive solution (something about my aberrant personality abhors adhesives on scopes) but resistance may be futile. After removing the existing mounting block, I find the Dovetail mounting base for finder scope from Orion can be used on my MK67. Failing that, I'm using a a set of Stellarvue brackets and rings on my I-M 815 Mak with no issues at all.
