I use an AZ3 for a grab and go. Well actually it only ever goes in my back yard. I have a love hate relationship with it. I love the fact that I can pick it up in one hand and step out the door for a quick peak with my C5, but I hate the friction altitude design. I'd rather have a mount that used balance instead of friction to move the scope in altitude. I have other mounts, including a G11 and a W.O. EZ Touch, but for a quick peak at the Moon or Jupiter with my C5 the lightweight AZ3 is great, apart from the friction altitude design. I have been looking at alternative mounts for my little C5 and have narrowed it down to a Vixen Porta Starguy, or a AT Voyager. Any thoughts on these two mounts?

Hmmmm
I'll have to check it out, thanks for the tip.
Is it the same mount as this one?

I have both the StarGuy and the AZ4. Do you want slo motion controls? If not then the AZ4 with the aluminum tripod is light and easier grab n go. The StarGuy is a nice mount but its heavier. With my C6 sct mounted on the StarGuy its heavy to carry but I usually make two trips.
