Two recent observing periods gave us a chance to observe, sketch, and broadcast together as we gave a couple little lessons but also had some great time. The double task is not without effort, however, and persistence is essential. See the latest blog post (address below my signature) for the sketches and story.

Roland and Linda,
Beautiful J. Herschel sketches and full Moon renderings. Nice to see these paired up.

Thanks, Frank. We do it as often as we can, but not as much as we want. It was a good couple evenings together.

I always enjoy your sketches and especially when you both can pair up for a session. I was fascinated by how you both can teach live via broadcasting!

Thanks Jean, Tom and Erika. It's great when it comes together. Of course, things go wrong...wires connections weather changes or the bandwidth drops out. When it works, it is great.

I would have to agree. It was much fun sketching the moon with you a few weeks ago. Lets get together more!

Thanks for the feedback. We plan to keep doing it. It is hard to schedule. I usually make an announcement on FB or via email, although sometimes without much notice.

Thank you refasali and other readers. I had no idea people were going back so much to this item on the blog. We were busy prepping for a trip and are now in the Philippnes teaching Astronomical Observing from a Biblical View, so I had not checked CN until today when I posted a new item about Goldschmidt.
