Jupiter this morning -my first sketch, I am a newb
      #5415748 - 09/11/12 05:16 PM

Anyway, I observed Jupiter this morning and got quite a nice view. I decided to attempt to sketch it. I've never tried before, so any help and advice would be appreciated.

I also noticed that over a period of a few minutes, a small bump suddenly appeared on the upper left side of the disk (almost looked like a wart). I guess this was one of the moons coming into view.

Jz,

These sketches look very good. I'd say your seeing was pretty good too.

Frank

Very nice, jz!

If there is one advice that I can give : keep on sketching. It will sharpen your vision even more.

Clear skies,

I intend to, when I have the time. I'm sure trying to sketch DSOs will be especially tricky...

DSO sketching tricky?

Not necessarily, you should give it a try. But also try other subjects (moon, planets, sun, comets) and see what discipline gives you the most satisfaction.
