Use your Digital Camera to take Still Time Lapse Photographs
Encoders in both axles allows the manuel movement of the mount without loosing the allignment
Trigger Controller for electronic shutter release during captureing in panoramic mode
Motorized Mount for Video Captureing
Hand Controller with more than 42.000 Object Database
AllView Head can be attached to most Prosumer Tripods via 3/8" thread

The innovative and highly versatile SkyWatcher AllView motorized robotic mount & tripod is an indipensible companion for all your imaging and observational needs. The AllView can be used for 360° Panoramic or Still Time Lapse photography, Video Capture, a GoTo mount for Astronomy or simply a stable motorized platform for mounting a spottin scope or binoculars.

Take amazing panoramic photographs with your DSLR

The supplied multi function L-bracket will accept most cameras via a standard 1/4" tripod bush, and can orientate the camera in both portrait and landscape mode. The camera is connected to the mount with an electronic shutter release cable for automatic camera control. (Canon-D shutter release cable supplied, but cables for other camera makes / models are readily available). Parameters are entered into the Synscan handset and the mount can then start taking panoramic photos in three different modes; Easy Pano Mode, Preset Pano Mode and Time Lapse Mode. Even full 360° panoramas are possible incorporating everything from the Zenith to the Nadir!

Video Coursing & Time Lapse Mode

In Video Coursing mode, the mount allows you to capture up to 10 hours of video between two user-determined points. The slewing speed is automatically determined by the time the user decides to slew between those points. Similarly, in Time Lapse mode the user can choose a starting and finishing point, and a slewing time up to 10 hours between those points. This feature allows the user to capture a series of still images (up to 65.535) during the slew, and using suitable image processing software, the images can be merged to create time lapse video.

Motorized Mount for Daytime Observations

In its simplest application, the mount can be used as a stable motorized platform to automatically pan your favourite compatible equipment to any desired position. Simply use the Synscan handset to select the speed and the directional buttons to move the mount in altitude and azimuth axes.

Computerized GoTo Mount for Astronomy

Telescopes up to 5 kg can be mounted to either the Vixen-Style dovetail or the supplied L-bracket via a standard 1/4" tripod bush. Longer telescopes can be mounted on the outside of the mounting arm allowing complete freedom of vertical movement. The supplied Synscan handset has a database of over 42.900 celestial objects, and commands the mount to locate and track those objects automatically, allowing you to explore the night sky to your heart´s content. The patented dual-encoder design means the mount can also be moved by hand without losing alignment or positional information.

I'm looking for a mount to do some wide field imaging with. This might be the mount to get. It looks interesting. How much to ship to the states?

The SkyWatcher All-View mount is readily available in the US from any Celestron/SkyWatcher dealer. Celestron part number is S20150 and retail price is $399.

You probably need to contact Celestron directly for the availability of a Nikon cable. They indicate that cables for cameras other than the Canon are available, but their price list does not show any or list any part numbers for optional cables.

I have been looking at this as a travel goto mount for my Astrotech 72mm refractor (about 4kg with diagonal and EP).
Questions:
1) how big in diameter are the tripod legs?
2) how tall the point of scope attachment when legs fully retracted, or extended?
3) how long is the tripod when folded up (i.e. can it be taken as carry on ?)
how big is te AltAz head (length, width, height)
4) when mounting the scope on the outside of the fork, can a counterweight, or small SLR be attached on the inside of the fork?
5) how much vibration at 4 or 5 kg load is there ? is it ok for visual?
Thanks for any replies - i need a travel mount before May 15, so time is of the essence,
Cheers and beers,
Michael

1. It´s 32 / 25 mm
2. It´s 1330 mm high.
3. The tripod is 750 mm folded, the head is 300 x 260 x 150 mm.
4. Normally not, only a custommade construction could be possible.
5. For visually use it´s OK.

clear skies

Hallo Markus,
Michael
