Taken this morning. I may have reached the potential of this particular combination...still improving on processing and hoping for better seeing.
There are settings on the camera that I have not fully explored. More later. Thanks for reading.

Here is another capture with a moon in transit.
I think the next step may be to use this with my 2.5x TV barlow. That should increase the image size on the chip, but will need to use a larger video format--1280x960 rather than 640x480.

Seeing was about average, Freddy.
This morning I caught the Great Red Spot, but seeing might have been a little worse. We seemed to have some smoky haze over all as well. This image was using my Televue 2.5X barlow. I probably should have turned up the gain a little more to reduce the ringing.
Thanks for your comments!

Richard, I prefer the 1st image for overall detail. You definitely need to boost the capture brightness histogram to avoid the ringing. Thanks for posting

Thanks, Steve. I agree. Back to filling the histogram! Pushing the limits of 5", but that's my goal.

It took me a long time to come around on boosting the histogram but, as you and others are saying, it should be done.
That first image is great for the equipment. Why would you need a bigger chip? It looks like you have quite a bit of room left to zoom in?

Thanks, Paul...it looks that way because I cheated and put the image on a larger background to reduce the image scale of the disk itself. It's about presentation...
