Does anyone have a source for the adapter necessary to update the CGEM mount motor controller. It is Celestron part number 93965. It is also, apparently a discontinued part! I've been able to update my hand controller (HC) with the supplied cable, but the MC adapter is not supplied and now it seems to be unavailable from Celestron (although they do let you download the ( now useless) firmware updates. What's up with that? Any ideas on how to perform the firmware updates?

You can update the MC through the serial port in the HC

As long as the HC is at v4.13 or higher (which is the case for any CGEM) you don't need any additional stuff ... as Mark said the MC update is done the same was as the HC update only using a different program (MCupdate).
On scopes/mounts that have the older hand controllers (pre V4.13) and have the PC port (or those that didn't have the PC port and this is where the 93965 unit came in) there is a different serial cable that was used to upgrade the motor controllers.

Just dont put the HC in programming mode when you are updating the MC Firmware, nothing bad will happen it just won't work.
