It would be nice to gather links to good film astrophoto web galleries. Many of the links at the old web pages don't work.
At first, here are the links to the galleries of recently active members of the film section I know (in alphabetical order): Danilo Pivato, Dave Kodama, Michal1, Nebhunter, Nightfly 1, 2, Rick Thurmond
And here is my collection (in random order): Bobby Middleton Chris Cook Eder Ivan Libor Smid Herm Perez George Greaney Matt BenDaniel Jon Kolb Thomas Earle John Mirtle William Mattil Chris and Dawn Schur estelar.de Starlight Workshop Takayuki Yoshida Lorenzo Comolli Sam Pitts Dave Dockery Carl Chan
If you miss some web page in this list, you can post the link.

Great idea Michal. There are some excellent examples of film work. I hope folks take time to check them out.
I'd like to add Wei-Hao Wang.
Wei-Hao Wang
There is still one image Wei-Hao created that defies the film skeptics and is a testament to analog work at its finest. Keep in mind it was done 8 years ago, a time when film was "certainly dead"! Even today, it still rivals any work done of this region I have ever seen.
Summer Milky Way
May we all continue the long tradition of excellence.

Thanks Michal, Jim.
Though this isn't technically astrophotography, it showcases the sheer beauty of film. Click on "about the photographer" and check out the homemade cameras he uses -- wow! Dennis C. Anderson

Jim,
Yeah, it's interesting to read the blurbs under each photo and see what films he used, though most aren't available now, as everyone knows.
Here's another one I've spent too much time ogling: Alan Dyer

Thank you both. These are really stunning.
Here is the gallery of Inaki Lizaso. Not bad for a 35mm camera.

That's a very nice gallery Michal. Nice find! Very good 35mm work. I see he figured out that shooting fast lenses stopped down to f/4 gave him the best fidelity.
The sweet spot on the lens, coupled with the ideal exposure and pushing the film the right amount and processing equals perfection.
Others should gleen these images and take note of how they were exposed and get to work! Coupled of course with a dark sky.

That's a nice collection of links. There are a lot of familiar names from the "old" days. Another outstanding astrophotographer was Loke Tan. In later years, he moved to CCD imaging, but he took many great film shots, especially visible in his comet gallery:

Unfortunately, he no longer seems active in any astrophotography...

Film (well emulsion based) astrophotography is not limited to deep sky objects. Have a look at this http://www.lesia.obspm.fr/BDIP/index.php searchable database of profesional emulsion based planetary photography!
