Hi all,
I'm considering buying a used Giro II for use on my Astrotrac but I can't find any info on what thread the Giro II base has. The newer Giro III and Ercole models all have both M10 and 3/8" thread but I can't find anything about the Giro II. Since the Astrotrac requires 3/8" it would be a shame to buy the Giro II only to find out I can't connect the two, does anyone know what thread the Giro II has?

No idea, my Giro III is 10mm for Vixen GP type tripods. 3/8-NC is a thread used by large format film cameras and their tripods, which may explain why they offered it.

OK so if I understand you correctly, when Tele-Optic says "Thread M10 and 3/8" they actually mean "either M10 or 3/8"? That's a bummer.
