[Login] Entrance · Main Index · Search · New user · Who's Online FAQ · Calendar Equipment Discussions >> Mounts Previous   Index   Next   Threaded   Pages: 1 maltydog member Reged: 09/13/12 first night out with new mount       #5463094 - 10/09/12 11:32 PM Edit   Reply   Quote Quick Reply   took my new atlas goto out for the firt time. this is my first goto mount. this was only my second time to have the scope out. after fairly accurate polar alignment i did the 3 star alignment then off to the races. it performed fantastic. every object i chose was spot on and visual tracking stayed centered - but didn't spend much time on any one object as i was so amazed at how i could punch in an object and be there in a matter of seconds. i have been a star hopper for the last 20 years but man i love this goto. the atlas is very sturdy for my scope (ES 127ED). easy to use. excellent. meant to take some pictures but got carried away with viewing.
