Hi, I've always wanted to see images of the moon that show a lot of relief from a side view, unfortunately the Apollo mission landing sites were somewhat smooth/humdrum IMO (I'd guess for safety reasons?) Anyway I've been combing over thousands of old images lately and came across this one by Lunar Orbiter 3 (which originally is presented on its NASA center website upside-down, with an immense amount of noise and film artifacts, and those annoying white marker crosses, much of which I've removed/covered.)
This crop is a small section of one of the photos, which captures that type of view I've always imagined wanting to see.
Click on the attached view to see how it really looks (the default one shown on this page is much smaller.)
Regards, Jason W. Higley

I understand your point here. The Apollo missions, particularly 11 and 12 were very conservative in terrain choice for landing. Add to that the often flat earths eyeview we often see and a 3/4 shot depicting topography more engaging is special indeed.
Thanks for posting.

I have found a lot of Apollo images on the net. Does NASA or others have an organized listing of publicly available Apollo photos?
