There is a subtle difference between the SVP and the CG-5 hub. The Az alignment pin is slightly taller on the CG-5 hub and the SVP and Meade LXD55/75 mount will not fit with out getting out the file. Is it a straight one-to one swap, with no problems with the alignment peg or the attachment of the central rod to the mount? Or do I have to "get out my file?" Advise appreciated. I also bought the 16" Orion SVP pier extension and have it mounted on the CG-5 tripod without issue. I love it, but the extra height of the pier is a matter of personal preference.
