A Red-Green Jewel High in the Sky
      #5470106 - 10/14/12 04:20 PM

Under the blog (address below my signature) I have placed a short introduction, sketch of M27, then explanation about origins. The observation took place on Oct 10. There is religious content, so don't go there if you don't like that.

It was a busy night during the observation. We had about 20 people come and go on NSN and most of them hung in there for the 1.5 hours of observing/sketching.

Thanks for looking. Hope to get out tonight. We have been sort-of rushed with ministry things and bad weather. Hope to put up tonight. Would like to catch the Coat Hanger Cluster again with a binocular. It's always fun.

Roland,

That is a superb sketch. I'll bet those colors looked great on your monitor.

Frank

Yes, Frank, they were truly great. Lost a little structure and detail compared to using the 12.5 Dob but otherwise it was just a pleasure.

Thanks Jason. Sorry I did not catch your note. We have been pretty busy and I have not been on CN for awhile.
