ive had this mount for about 2 weeks now and used it 3 times, so far im very happy with it. its easy to use accurate and light. i bought a gps unit for it but found that its just as easy to just program it manually so i might be selling it later on. for the price i think its the best bang for the buck. thanks, donnie

The mount has it's quirks, but there are many happy CG5 users. Glad you like it!

I use mine for over 4 years now and yes as Patrick sais...it has it's quirks but it's a fine mount. I started doing astrophotography with it,had tons of fun, still do,and even now that i'm upgrading to a bigger one i will keep this litle one as a "grab n go" setup. It is definatelly a fine mount for the price...with some tinkering can become even better.Tinkering as well as learning the mount's quirks is something someone has to do with this and other mass producted mounts if he/she wants to use it at maximum performance. I would love to see Celestron/Synta to fix some silly issues of this mount, would make it definatelly ...better..but still for the price is great
