Some recent classic scope threads prompted me to set this 4" Unitron up again in the living room front window. I was not happy with the smoothness of the mount, so carefully took apart. This old grease is best described as "thick and sticky glue".

Much better now with fresh grease and all the stickiness gone!

Good work. Love those bearings on the 4" mounts.

Steve,
You sleuth! So now it's officially a 155?

I love the patina on the switch!

So many many years from now someone just may hear;

" This is my Grandpa's scope."

Thanks! Great Sun. morning cup of coffee thread to review again!

Bill

Thanks Bill. This scope has certainly been a lot of fun to get to know.
