Hi Folks
Thought I'd try posting a Jupiter image I captured last week, (my 1st on CN). Seeing was pretty bad but it was nice to finally get out and use the new set up.

Not too bad Kevin, certainly nothing to be embarrassed about. Not much info with the image, I'm guessing this is with the DFK??

Thanks, sorry forgot to state the details!
This was taken with my new 1100 Edge + DFK21 + 2.5 Powermate. Captured using IC Cap, processed using PIPP, then through Registax 6.
It was my first time out imaging with the new kit so was like a kid in a toy shop excited to get up and running. Have had to wait a few months to finally have the chance to get out and get set up due to work commitments etc.
Having admired from afar all the cracking images posted on here, I thought I'd finally take the plunge and post something.

What mount do you use? I also have to 1100 HD with the cgem dx mount. I'm about to buy a DMK or maybe a OPT. I hear they are both pretty good and from what I see both give good quality images. If that was my first image it would be hanging on the fridge so I could admire it lol

From the other discussion we were having there might have been some confusion. OPT is the vendor I was quoting prices for, the DMK and DBK cameras from Imaging Source were the object of the exercise...sorry if there were any misunderstandings there.

Hi and thanks for the kind words
The mount I am using is the Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro synscan. It handles the scope very well and apart from a few gremlins I'm currently having with the handheld controller, mechanically the mount is easily up to the task.

Good effort there Kevin, I'm sure it feels good to get out and test the kit!
